Summary

The hyper-connected world of the Internet of Things promotes smart living and smart working. The IoT devices that enable these applications utilize wireless technologies such as WLAN, Bluetooth and Zigbee.

To ensure that the Internet of Things does not become the Interference of Things, all new wireless IoT devices must go through mandatory regulatory compliance testing, which can be complex and time-consuming.

To gain market access, it is mandatory that devices pass each country’s wireless regulatory standard, such as ETSI EN 300-328 and 301-893 for Europe and FCC Part 15, Sections 15.247 and 15.407, for the US.

Regulatory testing is complex, time consuming, and costly. It also goes through constant revision, which directly impacts project schedule and time to market for new products.
